E.L. Bowsher High School offers a complete high school experience built on strong student and

cooperative effort of our staff is dedicated to preparing all students for college, career, and
industry through rigorous and authentic instruction. Emphasis is placed on students leading
with respect, readiness, and responsible behaviors to achieve their goals.
Bowsher High School was founded in 1962 and opened at its new location at the corner of
Arlington and Detroit in 2008. It is named after Edward Leslie Bowsher, who was the longest
serving TPS Superintendent (1937-1958).
The school offers a comprehensive academic curriculum as well as Career Technical Education
in Public Safety, Medical Technology, Engineering Design/CAD and the High School of Business.
Students can pursue interests in the performing arts, fine arts, athletics and various clubs, both
academic and recreational.
